Adamic Judaism, the Lost Coordinate, and the Name That Cannot Be Pronounced
Of all the ground on Earth, this one stretch has been overrun, seized, and held by more peoples than any other. A lot of us would rather keep our distance from geopolitics, but you cannot do that here. The subject pulls you in. In the same way, plenty of us resist admitting that the pineal gland might have any real part in what we are, that it could sit beneath consciousness and memory and whatever comes next, quietly steering all of it.
The small mirrors the large. As below, so above. What runs through a single person runs through the whole collective. That pattern is what carries me back to what I keep calling Adamic Judaism.
Start with Adam. First man? Yes and no. In the esoteric strands of Judaism, Adam is not a homo sapiens, and getting past that assumption may be the hardest part of the whole conversation. Centuries of medieval paintings, right up through the images we still see today, have hammered a single picture into our heads. It has hardened into a stereotype.
The first Adam was androgynous, holding every male element and every female element at once. Not physical in the sense we mean by physical. This was something that lived in a higher dimension, far outside anything we would recognize as ordinary reality. Call it a consciousness, call it a reality: the entire whole was folded into that one being, and I use the word being only because language runs out on me here.
That failure of vocabulary is exactly where we keep hitting walls. We say God is a being and immediately get stuck, because the word drags its everyday meaning along with it. When I describe a higher dimensional being I am not pointing at aliens. I am pointing at dimensionality itself.
So any real grasp of Adamic Judaism has to begin with dimensionality. What are the boundaries of a three directional world, a reality with only three coordinates to work with? Judaism, Kabbalah, the whole esoteric line insists there is a fourth coordinate absent from the picture. A fourth direction. A fourth dimension. That is all the word dimension is naming.
Read the story of Israel this way and its entire method, its mission, becomes a search for the lost coordinate. Notice that God is a three letter word: G, O, D. The God of Israel, the Tetragrammaton, is written in Hebrew as Yod He Vav He, Y H V H or Y H W H. That is not a person. Not a place. Not a thing.
Trying to sound it out as Jehovah, or any of the other invented pronunciations, misses what it is. Picture someone who had never encountered Einstein meeting E=MC2 for the first time: an E, an equals sign, a small m, a small c, a little 2 up in the corner. They might stumble through it as something like em-kh-to. Saying the Tetragrammaton out loud is roughly that absurd. We already sense it is far more than a set of sounds.
