Rabbi Joel Bakst on the Pineal Gland, the Ark, and the Return of Consciousness
The work is to keep alive the pineal gland of consciousness, what you might call the face of God, the presence of God. Think about where the Ark of the Covenant rested, with the two Cherubim perched on top, set on that rock, high on that mountain. The Cherubim were shaped like two small gold beings with wings, almost like a male and female child, something young and bird-like. The space between them held a vortex, and that vortex was a portal connecting this place to a higher dimension.
The teaching says that after Adam and Eve were expelled from the garden, which really means they fell and prolapsed into a lower order of reality, the route back to the tree of life was not erased. That tree is the singularity. So where does the singularity sit? Holographically it is everywhere; it has to be. But trace every meridian across the planet, follow the lines running through all the holy sites (and every one of them is holy), and they bend back toward a single meta-center. Centers exist in countless places, yet there is one meta-center, and that is the road back to the higher dimension. That is home. We are all walking home. That is the portal, the Jewish stargate, the Adamic stargate.
When the prophets received prophecy, part of their method involved projecting their own consciousness into the gap between the two Cherubim, because that gap is the way back in. That is the pineal gland, right there. The Ark itself functioned as an amplifier for what the rock already was.
Want to talk about sacred rocks and sacred mountains? What we casually label a rock is, in Adam and in truth, alive. Everything collapsed downward. Picture four levels. Adam dropped into the animal level, the animals sank to the plant level, the plants fell to the mineral, and the mineral dropped into a kind of dead zone. That is why stone and matter feel so lifeless to us, though they are not.
When the Mashiach, the Messiah, returns, and the Messiah is Adam, all four levels rise again. The inanimate will take on the quality of the vegetable, the vegetable will become like the animal, and the animals will move up as well. That rising is part of why there are so many pets now. It has no easy explanation. Nothing like it has occurred before. The elites of past ages kept lions and tigers and bears, but never on this scale. Why now? The animals are climbing back toward a higher consciousness. You think you can speak with your pet and reach it somehow? There is something real in that. Their awareness is returning, evolving back, surely being revealed and coming to the surface.
