A Free Relaxation MP3 Rooted in an 1839 Discovery

We're giving away a meditation MP3 called RELAX, and it genuinely costs nothing. The recording was put together to coax your brainwaves toward a calmer, more settled state. No catch, no payment, just something to listen to when you want to unwind.

The idea behind the audio goes back further than most people assume. In 1839, a German physicist named Heinrich Wilhelm Dove noticed something about how the brain responds to a particular kind of sound. Dove was no minor figure: he held a fellowship with the Royal Society, worked as a physicist, and ran the Prussian Meteorological Institute. He was the first to describe the effect that a specific auditory signal has on the way we perceive sound.

What Dove observed sat largely unused as a practical tool until the middle of the twentieth century. Somewhere between the 1950s and the 1970s, his observation was shaped into an actual audio technique. Several people have claimed credit for turning it into usable technology over the years, but the discovery of the underlying effect belongs to Dove.

Our MP3 takes that same principle and applies it with mindfulness and relaxation in mind. Think of it as a small gift from us to you, meant for quiet moments rather than any medical purpose.

If you want to read more about the research, a quick search for 'Mindfulness' alongside 'the Psychological Effects of Brainwave Entrainment' will point you to published studies indexed on PubMed.Gov.
